Logbook
Look up in the Logbook who changed what, and when, for example to find out why a value changed or to show what has been done. Every entry is kept for 5 years and cannot be edited or deleted.

What is on the page
Entries are grouped by day, newest first. Each row shows the time, what it is about (for example a product or a measure), the change and who made it.
- A coloured dot marks a deletion or an important change. Hovering over the dot shows 'Deletion' or 'Important change'.
- By: the e-mail address of whoever made the change. 'System' marks a change not made by a user; 'Deleted user' marks someone whose account no longer exists.
- Clicking a row shows the details: for a change, the old and new value per field. Where only the fact of a change is kept, it reads 'changed, value not kept'.
- Open product goes to the product page. All changes to this record shows the full history of that one item.
- At the bottom: 25, 50 or 100 entries per page, with Previous and Next.
Search and filters
- Search field: search by product, user or description.
- Part: for example Products, Screening, Risk assessments, Measures, Workplace cards, Storage, Suppliers, Departments, Locations, User roles or Own limit values.
- Action: Created, Changed or Deleted.
- Period: a start and end date in the calendar.
- Important changes only: hides the rest.
Filters are stored in the page link. A filtered view therefore survives a reload and can be shared with a colleague.
What the Logbook keeps
- Creating, changing and deleting products, screenings, risk assessments, measures, workplace cards, storage, suppliers, departments, locations, user roles, own limit values and user profiles.
- For key fields, such as H-statements, revision date, risk level and measure, the old and the new value.
- The 'Still current' confirmation of an SDS, with name and date.
- For a workplace card, the fact that the card changed, not the full previous text.
- After 5 years an entry is removed. When a location is deleted, the Logbook is kept.
Exporting
Export at the top right puts every entry that matches the filters into a CSV or a PDF, with each entry's changes from old to new. The Logbook can also be chosen as a source under Reports. During a trial, exporting is locked.
Typical tasks
- Finding out who changed an H-statement or risk level: search for the product name and expand the row.
- The history of one product: expand a row and choose All changes to this record.
- Showing what was done in a period: choose a Period, optionally Important changes only, and export. See 'Reports and the Logbook'.
Who can do what
Everyone in the organisation can read and export the Logbook. A user sees the entries of their own location, an admin those of the whole organisation. Nobody can edit or delete an entry, not even an admin.

Workflow
Reports and the Logbook
Reports turns the organisation's data into an overview you can export as CSV or PDF. The Logbook records who changed what, and when; every entry is kept for 5 years.

Reports
Reports takes everything the organisation records in Chemspark out of the app: as an on-screen overview, as a CSV for a spreadsheet or as a PDF to print. Exporting is part of every subscription. The data stays the organisation's own.
Workflow
Managing team and locations
An admin sets up the organisation: locations, departments and users. This is done under Admin in the menu, or via Settings › 'Manage team and locations'.
