    Dashboard

The dashboard is the start page after signing in. Four cards show, per module, where the inventory stands and what needs attention first. One click on a card opens the page where the work continues.

    For: Users · Admins

At the top of the page

Above the title it says which location the figures cover, or "All locations". Next to it is how many products of the plan are in use, for example "42 of 100 products on your plan".

When the product limit comes into view, the notice "Approaching Product Limit" or "Product Limit Reached" appears. The "Upgrade" button opens Settings.

    The four cards

    • Register: the number of products, how many SDSs have expired or expire soon, and how many storage entries are over their maximum. A click opens SDS Updates, the Storage tab or the inventory, depending on what is open.
    • Risk assessment: the share of products that is done, with in red the number "with high risk and no measure". Below it is what is still to screen or to assess, and under "Also open" the fire & explosion and skin routes. A click opens the worklist column that needs attention first.
    • Instruction cards: how many cards have been made and how many hazardous products already have one. Which products need a card follows the setting "Workplace card needed from".
    • Compliance: per list (CMR, ZZS, SZW, SVHC, REACH) the number of products. There is deliberately no total: a product on three lists would count three times.

When nothing is open on a card, it turns green and shows a text such as "All SDSs up to date" or "All assessed".

    Recent activity

Below the cards are the latest uploads and assessments. A bulk upload sits on one line, and so does a product assessed on several routes in one go. A click on a line opens the product; for a bulk upload it opens the inventory.

The "This week" line counts the SDSs added, assessments and workplace cards of the past week. With several locations, the location is shown. "View logbook" opens the full history.

An empty inventory or an empty location

    • No products in the organisation yet: the dashboard shows "Welcome to Chemspark" with a box to drop the first SDS (PDF) into, and a preview of the steps after it.
    • A location without products in an organisation that already has products: "No products at" with the location name. Drop one or more SDSs there, or choose "Bulk upload".
    • After the first SDS, a new account shows a bar with "Your first product" and the steps already done. "Hide" removes it.

    Typical tasks

    • Start with the red line "with high risk and no measure": it comes before everything else. The Risk assessment card opens that worklist column directly.
    • Expired SDSs: the Register card opens SDS Updates, where a current version can be requested per supplier.
    • Products without a workplace card: the Instruction cards tile opens the "Needs a card" tab.

    Who sees what

    • User: sees the figures of their own location.
    • Admin: picks a location or "All locations" at the top; the figures and the activity follow that choice.

    Workflow

    Uploading SDSs

Every product in Chemspark starts with an SDS. Upload one SDS or several at once: Chemspark reads the SDS and fills the inventory, with no retyping.

    Workflow

    Reading the inventory

The Inventory is the location's chemical register: every product with its hazards, the status of its risk assessment and its storage. It has two tabs: 'Hazard & Risk' and 'Storage'.

    Workflow

    Measures and the worklist

The worklist in Risk assessment shows where every product stands, from screening to done. A high risk stays open until a measure is recorded.

    Workflow

    Making workplace cards

A workplace instruction card shows per product what workers need to know at the workplace. Chemspark drafts it from the SDS and the recorded measures; then someone reads the card, saves it and posts it.

    Workflow

    Compliance and the CMR registration

Compliance shows which products contain a substance on a regulatory list. For carcinogenic, mutagenic and reprotoxic substances, Chemspark also helps with the registration the Dutch Working Conditions Decree (Arbobesluit) requires.

    Workflow

Keeping SDSs current: SDS updates and suppliers

Chemspark warns when an SDS has expired, expires soon or has no date. SDS updates lists those products per supplier, ready to request a new version or to record that the current SDS is still current.

    Workflow

    Reports and the Logbook

Reports turns the organisation's data into an overview you can export as CSV or PDF. The Logbook records who changed what, and when; every entry is kept for 5 years.

    Workflow

    Managing team and locations

An admin sets up the organisation: locations, departments and users. This is done under Admin in the menu, or via Settings › 'Manage team and locations'.

    Inventory

The inventory (page heading "Chemical Inventory") is the register of hazardous substances of a location: one row per product, with the hazards of the product itself, the risks of working with it and what still needs doing. This is also where new SDSs come in.

    Page

    Risk assessment

On this page every product moves from screening to a finished assessment. The page has two views: the worklist with all products, and the assessment of one product with a tab per route.
